Nourishing the seeds of mindfulness and bringing your practice to life.

Mindfulness has become so ubiquitous that the true meaning of the word has been lost in our desire to find a quick fix to stress and other challenges in our lives.

This 8-week course will introduce you to a number of meditation practices that are designed to help you to cultivate mindfulness. But more than that, we'll explore how to integrate these practices into your life in practical ways. You'll leave with a toolbox of meditations and a changed approach to life which can lead to long term transformation.

This course is special. Why? Because everyone enrolled in the Embodied Wellness Membership can take the course access the course as a self-study endeavor. But for those who are Plus+ Memberships, this course can also be taken live! Each quarter we offer the opportunity to learn with others in real time. We explore the course week-by-week and gather online via Zoom for learning, meditation, and meaningful discussion.

“While you are continuing this practice, week after week, year after year, your experience will become deeper and deeper, and your experience will cover everything you do in your everyday life." — Shunryu Suzuki

We've broken this 8-week series down into two 4-week segments. You can take them back-to-back or explore one a quarter.

The first segment introduces several basic meditations on the breath, body, and touch. We'll explore how to utilize these meditations as a gateway to cultivating present moment awareness, acceptance, and patience.

The second segment includes standing meditation, mindfulness movement practices, open awareness, and compassion practices. As we move through the various forms of meditation we'll uncover how they nourish the mind-qualities of equanimity, curiosity, self-compassion, and balanced effort.
